Week of November 1st-5th 2010
In Science this week…
Chapter 4 Lesson 5 test will be November 1st, 2010. Students have very throurough notes we have taken in class which is basically a study guide for them. I also told them to put stars by notes that will be on the test. They also have a packet and some assignments that they can study from. If students have paid attention in class and took good notes, they should do fine on the test!
In Bible this week…
The test for Unit 4 will be next Monday November 8th, 2010. For the test, the students should know the 1st 17 books of the Bible and the 2 categories they fall under. They should also study their Bible workbook pages. This week’s Bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-9. It will be just memory this time. The students had 4-10 last week for explanation, but this week I have cut the verses down to two (8-9)and it will be memory.

Red Ribbon Week!
The students all did a FANTASTIC job with Red Ribbon Week! Thank you all for your cooperation and donations! It was a great success!
PCA Family Day
I am looking forward to seeing you all at PCA’s Family Day which is this Saturday (October 30th, 2010) 11:00 am until 2:00pm.
Geography Bee!
PCA is now offering an opportunity for students to participate in the National Geography Bee. This program, sponsored by National Geographic, allows students to learn geography skills and facts and compete. We will be hosting an informational meeting next Wednesday, October 20 at 7:45am in the library for all students 4th-8th grade that wish to compete. We will discuss how to study for the Bee as well as the Geography Bee procedures. The actual PCA Geography Bee will be held December 8 at 7:45 in the library. Following a written test, the winner of this Bee may be eligible to compete at the state level, usually held in Birmingham at Samford University in April.

Washington Students: Mrs. Cowell wanted you to know that you can order the picture that was taken in front of the Capitol building. The cost will be $13. You can write the check out to PCA. She will collect money for 2 weeks.
